Overview

Creating a video Video wall creation usually consists of the following main steps:

  1. Content production (slicing the video to distribute it to multiple screens)
  2. Leveraging Preparing the content - usually by dividing it for multiple screens
  3. Using software tools to distribute that content to hardwarethe players
  4. Configuring the hardware players to render these slices the content into a cohesive video wall

BrightSign has created software and hardware to simplify this complex tasksimplifies these tasks. This documentation describes the primary methods available to BrightSign customers to create video walls using BrightSign our software and hardware. You should select Select a method based on the your BrightSign player you are using (s) and the type video assets you want to display.

NoteYou cannot use BrightWall video creation methods if you are using standalone publishing, because you must be connected to a network (additional configuration is required after publishing the presentation)

Video Walls with Multiple Players

If you plan to create the BrightWall with multiple Series 3, 4, and 5 players, select one of the following two methods. There are no limitations on the number of players, but this method can only produce a rectilinear video wall (all screens must be portrait or landscape, and must all have the same orientation).

  1. Use the Mosaic BrightWall method to spread one video asset across multiple boxes
  2. Use the Multi Asset BrightWall method to play multiple, pre-sliced video assets on multiple boxes
Both of these methods allow you to use the BrightWall Configurator (a video wall software wizard) to interactively adjust your display

You cannot use BrightWall video creation methods if you are using standalone publishing, because you must be connected to a network (additional configuration is required after publishing the presentation).



Video Walls using XC5 Players

Using BrightWall with a multi-headed player (for users of the XC5). This method is currently limited XC5 players can distribute video to up to four screens. It also can only produce a rectilinear video wall (all All screens must be in either portrait or landscape , and all must have the same orientation).

Manual/Legacy Video Wall Creation

VideoWall Link/Synchronization is a legacy method to create a video wall presentation with Series 3, 4, and 5 players in BrightAuthor:connected. This method is completely manual so it is completely unconstrained in terms of the number of screens and the screen rotation.
