How do I disable wireless bandwidth shaping in BrightAuthor:connected?

BSN.cloud and Web Folder

If you select BSN.cloud Networking or Web Folder publishing, you can disable the limits in BrightAuthor:connected:

  1. Open the Admin tab and select Setup in BrightAuthor:connected.

  2. Navigate to Network Configuration and select Include network configuration

  3. In the Network Options window that appears, go to the Wireless tab.

  4. Select Enable Wireless Networking (if it is not already selected).

  5. Under Rate Limit Network Download Traffic, select the Unlimited Download Rate option for both Outside Content Download Window and During Initial Downloads. You don't need to set the option for During Content Download Window.

  6. Select Done to apply these changes to your Setup.

Standalone and Local Network

If you select Standalone or Local Network publishing, you can disable the limits by editing the setup.xml file, which is created once you complete the Setup process in BrightAuthor:connected. To disable the limits, open the setup.xml file with a plaintext editor (e.g. Notepad, TextEdit) and locate the following tag:

<rateLimitModeOutsideWindow>default</rateLimitModeOutsideWindow>

Change the value from "default" to "unlimited":

<rateLimitModeOutsideWindow>unlimited</rateLimitModeOutsideWindow>
