Notes

  • We recommend these file systems:

    • SD, micro SD (ÎĽSD) Cards: FAT32, exFAT

    • SSD, mSATA, USB: EXT4

  • The exFAT file system is supported on Series 3 and 4 players onward with BOS versions 6.2.94 and later.

  • Secure boot is not supported with the exFAT filesystem on BOS version 6.2.94.

  • BrightSign has limited support for the following file systems:

    • FAT12: Storage devices or partitions larger than 2GB are not supported.

    • HFS, HFS+: Read only

    • NTFS: Read only. This format requires BrightAuthor 3.x or later (or an equivalent autorun) for playback. This format does not support remote snapshots, user variables, network updates, or producing logs.  You can only use Standalone publishing mode, without the aforementioned features.
