The single on-board LED acts as a power-on light (similar to the green LED on other players) and will illuminate when power is applied to the player and will remain in a solid state. The LED flashes using red status (Err) LED codes described below. The LED will also will flash to indicate an error as described in the chart below, or flash during the firmware update process and (it will cease flashing when the update is complete).
