The Video Mode option in BrightAuthor:connected allows you to determine how videos will be scaled to fit in a Video or Image zone. This option has no effect if the video and the zone are the same size.

How do I update my player BrightSign OS using BrightAuthor:connected?

In Setup

  1. Navigate to Admin > Setup.

  2. In Player Settings > BrightSign OS Update find your player and choose the OS.

  3. When the setup file is applied to your player, the new OS will be applied and the player will automatically reboot.

In the Remote DWS 

  1. Access the Remote DWS. 

  2. Navigate to the Advanced tab. 

  3. In BrightSign OS Update > Update Options select your desired OS option and click Update.

In Schedule 

  1. In Schedule, navigate to Options > BrightSign OS Updates and select the OS.

  2. When you select Publish, the OS will be sent to the player and it will reboot.
