What version of Windows is installed?

Windows 11 IoT LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel).

Can I switch my player's OS from Windows to BrightSignOS and vice-versa?

No. If you purchased a player with BrightSignOS pre-installed, you cannot switch that player's OS to Windows. Similarly, if you purchased a player with Windows pre-installed, you cannot switch that player's OS to BrightSignOS.

How do I update Windows?

  • technically yes

  • malicious user: the unit should be physically locked down if this is a concern

  • genuine user: No. End users cannot duplicate SSDs. It's the case N number of registration keys are required for N units.
