The XCx55, XDx35, XTx45, XTx44, XTx43, XDx34 and XDx33 models can be installed with an internal SSD device. This page outlines the required and recommended specifications for SSD drives installed in BrightSign players. See the SSD Installation page for SSD installation steps.

Required Specs

Connector Type

The XTx43, XDx33, XTx44, XDx34, XTx45, XDx35, and XCx55 all have an M-keyed M.2 connector.

  • XTx44, XDx34, XTx45, XDx35, XCx55: 2242, 2280

  • XTx43, XDx33: 2242, 2260, 2280

Logical Device Interface

  • XTx44, XDx34, XTx45, XDx35, XCx55: NVMe

  • XTx43, XDx33: ATAPI 

Important

Because the SSD interface differs between the XTx43/XDx33 and XTx44/XDx34 (ATAPI vs. NVMe), SSD drives intended for the XTx43/XDx33 cannot be transferred to the XTX44/XDx34, and vice-versa.
