Reboot a Player via the Diagnostic Web Server

Reboot a Player via the Diagnostic Web Server

If the Diagnostic Web Server (DWS) is enabled on your player, you can instruct it to reboot a computer (for example, when testing a connected peripheral or an inaccessible player).

If you have not configured a different password for the Diagnostic Web Server, the default password is the player's serial number in UPPERCASE.

Via the BrightAuthor:connected DWS:

  1. Go to the Network tab.

  2. Select the gear icon next to your player which will take you to the remote DWS.

  3. Go to the Control tab in the remote DWS.

  4. Select Reboot.

Via the Web Browser DWS:

  1. Open your web browser and go to http://IPaddressOFplayer/index.html

  2. Replace IPaddressOFplayer with the player's IP address. If you don't know the player's IP address,   power it up without storage and it should display on the information screen.

  3. Select the Control tab and the Reboot button. The player will restart.
